we had a lovely stay at distinction! the hotel is conveniently located right in the middle of a charming town, with a nice short walk down to the lake where we enjoyed sunset views. our room was spacious with two double beds, and the updated bathroom was a pleasant surprise. breakfast was served early, which was great before our trip to doubtful sound.

I loved my cozy Superior Double or Twin Room. it was super spacious and impeccably clean. The location couldn't be better—right in the heart of everything, making our adventures easy and fun! Dining was a delight with amazing food at the on-site café, perfect for kickstarting our mornings!

The location is spot on—just a stone's throw from the lakeside! Breakfast vibes were decent, perfect for fueling up before our Doubtful Sound adventure. Plus, the updated bathroom was a sweet surprise!

On the downside, parking's a nightmare if you're rolling in late. Also, check-in felt like a chore. I was left hanging while staff attended to someone else. Not cool!

Rooms and bathrooms cry for modern updates!!! The TV situation is a complete letdown, with channels struggling to even come in clearly!!!

It was just a decent option for a little getaway in Te Anau with good price value. Enjoyed a lovely lakeside walk nearby, watching the boats go by. Keep in mind the dining has a small surcharge for non-NZ cards.

We had a fantastic stay with the family suite being spacious and comfortable. The friendly team recommended us a trip to Doubtful Sound, which was unforgettable. The breathtaking scenery there is truly a must-see! It greatly complemented our journey exploring Te Anau.

For dads, it would be great to have air conditioning for those warm nights. My kids wished there were more play areas in the hotel to keep them entertained.
